well, if you haven't noticed I haven't been on here very much. life has been so busy and I am lacking inspiration. so, i've decided I'm going to take a blogging break. I am going to be leaving for a couple of weeks. I will probably pop in here and there, and give you a couple update posts.
Also my first blog-anniversary is on August 1!
and I've been planning a relaunch...
after I get back from my break, there will be a new design, a new name, and a fresh beginning.
so, with that said.... I need about 7 guest posters..
so if anyone would like to guest post shoot me an email and also tell me what day you would prefer to guest post on!
this is my favorite hymn. I have been listening to it over and over.
there is something about being able to come freely to the Throne of Grace, out of anything we were in.
and the pictures are just a collection of the last couple of weeks. I keep trying freelensing, one of these days I'll get the hang of it. :P
do you have a favorite hymn or song?
p.s. an amazing giveaway is going over on Abigail's blog for a Kinfolk. gah and an equally amazing giveaway on Grace's blog for $50 shabby apple gift card!
about 5 book pages [sheets of music are also a good idea]
a small piece of cardboard
a hot glue gun
1. Begin folding the pages fan style
2. Punch a small hole in the top of the piece of cardboard, that way you will be able to hook your pinwheel on a nail or tack to hang it up.
3. Take one of the folded pages and place it in the middle of the piece of cardboard. Glue it there.
Continue gluing the the folded page ends in a circle. *disclaimer: watch your fingers okay.*
4. Once you have the entire circle glued on the cardboard, cut out a circle from an extra page and glue it on the center to cover up the gap. add any little decorations.
[i.e. little gems, glitter, faux fur, a photo, or even a short quote.]
[I took my scraps and bunched them together to make a rosette style center]
thrift stores are some of my favorite things in the entire world.
gahh I love them, because you never know what you will find.
these are just some of my favorite thrift store findings::
a vintage camera // honestly, I would read on other blogs how they found these cameras at thrift stores and I thought I would never find one. Well, I was shopping with my best friend and right there it was for $1//
The Wind in the Willows //a vintage hardcover with full page color pictures, the end //
The Complete Book of Etiquette // 2 in. thick (I just measured) etiquette book. honestly it has everything down to what to say at a funeral //
Sense and Sensibility// the screen play
My Fair Lady // the play
Anne of Green Gables series // all of my except the last one
