Okay, here is some stuff you may (and may not) know about me!

1. when I really like a song I will put it on repeat for days (like I'm doing with this song right now)

2.  I've always had this prejudice against the number 9..dunno why.. I just can't stand it!

3. I love using sarcasm,  seriously! I use it all the time, especially with my siblings ;)

4. I'm obsessed with quotes, seriously.. I've been restraining myself from posting a gazillion on here, but I think that isn't going to last very long.. prepare for a big post with lots and lots, and lots of quotes.

5. I learned to blow a bubble with gum for the first time in almost 14 years. I always tried and tried before, but I just never got the hang of it. I am still far from a professional, but I'm trying to get practice in. :D

6. I am going to be writing a short story in my creative writing class. I'm thinking about doing a story about some little animals that can talk and have their own country... Ideas anyone?

7.  I get these shots of inspiration for writing, and I get photo-shoot fever. (yes, that is my own term of the lovely decease)

YES! I've got the best creative writing class ever! It was totally awesomely epic!  :D

Okay, remember this post, well, I waited for it to come out, then we totally missed it in theaters, and then I had to wait till it came out on DVD, and then... it came out last week... and I had to wait to see it till we picked it up... and then Saturday night we watched it!!!! (finally) And because I just can't keep all my thoughts to myself, you are going to get to listen to me ramble away...

this was the sweetest, well almost.. part! I currently have that song on repeat on my computer, as I'm typing.

We have had the priviledge last year of meeting, and getting to know 15 kids from an orphanage in Hati.

And now this year, 14 (4 girls and 10 boys) kids from Ethiopia and Honduras have come.  They have been at Ellerslie for the last couple of weeks, for the schooling part of the tour.

hey everyone,

I'm sure you have noticed my new design by now! isn't it gorgeous? ashlyn (creatively you) did such a beautiful job. well, let's take a little tour around!

and today is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day...
here are a couple facts about slavery today:

• there are 27 millon slaves today
• every minute there are 2 children sold into slavery
• currently there is 200,000 people in slavery in the US
• there are more slaves today than any other time in history

and we are just standing around passing the time of day!

Dear 2011,

You've been a wonderful year, the best year yet... I learned so much, lost so much, and gained so much. 

I laughed, and cried, I prayed and hoped.... 

Here is a quick re-cap:'

 In Febuary, I turned 13.... In May, I gave my life to Jesus....In June and July, I did school like crazy...In August, I started up this blog...In October, found out that this happened....In November, I learned a big personal lesson, and in December, well, I realized God has answered so much of my little prayers that weren't really that important, and yet He cared enough to answer them...

it's a New Year, and I'm a new person, all things from the past are in the past, I'm walking forward with high hopes, big dreams, and lots of prayers...

farewell, 2011

 it is a New Year, and that means (of course) change. But this is all good change...

to start with:

1. I'm getting a new design, and it will be up soon, not exactly sure when, but soon, and I promise you...it's pretty awesome. :)

2. I'm going to be doing project 64 this year. It is a challenge thats 64 weeks, but it isn't a big of a bite as the 365 photo challenge is. P-64, is a challenge that goes through a box of crayon and you take 1 photo a week of the certain color. If that doesn't explain it, you can read more about it at their website. Anyways, once a week I will be posting my photo on here. 

3. I will also be doing an idea I found on pinterest, what you do is take a jar/basket/container and throughout the year write down special things that happened on a piece of paper and then put them in your jar. Then on New Years Eve, you get to take them out and read them... :)

4. And last but definatly not least, I'm going to do something called 102 in 2012, which is a "bucket list/resolutions  for 2012". I'll tell you more tomorrow.

And I have chosen a word to represent my year....
