a roadtrip in april.

>> two weekends ago, we took a mini road trip down to a part of Southern Colorado. my papa was delivering a few houses for his work, so we decided to ride along. it was so warm and sunshiney (yes, sunshiney is totally a word)  the entire weekend we were there. we drank coffee, listened to music, read C.S. Lewis, stopped at a lake, and took four hour naps. (they were ahh-mazing.) oh, and did I mention the mountains were absolutely gorgeous? <<

p.s. my camera isn't here yet. I totally made a completely stupid mistake and ordered the Canon t3 instead or the t3i. Anyhoo, I sent the t3 back, and hopefully in the next couple of days my t3i will come. :) #lessonlearnedthehardway

kyle || 2012

this is Kyle, he is my little brother. sometimes, he drives me outta my mind, but that's what little brothers are for right? legos are his favorite thing in the whole wide world. he made his first batch of cookies all by himself a couple of weeks ago. he likes making things special, and having little parties. his favorite lunch is grilled cheese made by himself. he is growing up way to fast! 

 // there was an old firetruck parked down by the pond at my Grandpa's place. my uncle was going to fix some things on it. but one afternoon, I grabbed Kyle and we went down there to get a couple of shots. 

we shot until we got bugged out... the mosquitoes were awful.  //

those afternoon naps...

the sun filtered through the slits from the window shade and landed on his pillow. 

the only sound is his rhythmic breathing. 

his eyelashes flutter as he stirs slightly. 

watching kids nap is the best.

a night fishing [wordless post]

five plus three = eight

well, as the title says 5 + 3 = 8.  

Last week we added 3 more boys to our family, Antonio [age 6] Hector [age 4] Estebon [age 3].

It's been quite the adventure.. to say the least, but they are the most darling boys. 

Last night, I was whipping up some mashed potatoes in the mixer when the boys came inside. They smelled the corn that was cooking and Estebon came over to inform me: 

"You aren't suppose to mix corn up in the mixer, 

that isn't how you do it." 

they are hilarious.

[sorry about the poor picture quality, hopefully I'll get around to getting some better ones taken.]

[and excuse the fact that Hector is missing in all but the first picture, he was kind of throwing a fit. :P]

little brother...

this is Kyle. he is extremely cheesy in pictures and in real life. he hates chap-stick, hence the chapped lips. he loves legos and would play outside with his friends all day long. they found a large dirt pile in the empty field that they slide down. he comes up with the wildest ideas (i.e. making a 'railroad' track with all the books off of his bookshelf. he learned how to read last year and now delights himself in reading pretty much everything. 

he's my little brother and I love him!
