while I'm waiting...

I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait

I will move ahead, bold and confident
Takeing every step in obedience
While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait

I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it's not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve you while I'm waiting

I will worship while I'm waiting on You, Lord

i've got a full heart

for some random reason tonight, my heart is full...I am in a whimsical mood, and feel like reading my Anne books or maybe Narnia...I am sitting here smiling for "no" reason..well, I guess I am listening to Christmas music. :) And just because I feel like it, I'm going to share a {ton} of quotes I love. {Did I ever say that I am really obsessed with quotes? well if I didn't: I am!}

"You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me"
-C.S Lewis

"Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another:"What! You too? I thought I was the only one."
-C.S Lewis
"I feel as though someone's handed me the moon...and I don't exactly know what to do with it."
-Anne Shirley
Gilbert Blythe: "What are you thinking?"
Anne: "I'm afraid to speak or move for fear that all this wonderful beauty will just vanish...like a broken silence."

"Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed."
-G.K Chesterton

"I pray because I can't help myself. I pray because I'm helpless. I pray because the need flows out of me all the time-waking and sleeping. It doesn't change God- it changes me."
-C.S Lewis

"A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world."
-Oscar Wilde
"I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere else to go."
-Abraham Lincoln

--------
well, good night, dear hearts.

december

oh, I love December...for so many reasons,
- Christmas
-winter
-my mom's birthday
-snow
-sugar cookies
-coffee
-Christmas carols

....to name a few... :)

And the most important

Luke 2:14
"And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.
(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
In Christ Alone,

Marcia

musings of late

recently, I was reading something somewhere and it asked a question that has been on my mind lately....
"What if you would only have one year left to live?"
think about it for a minute... I would do everything that I was pushing off till tomorrow...

I would:
read that extra chapter in the Bible

 write that journal entry
play that board game
take those photos
email that email
make that phone call
have that cup of tea
talk to that person
make that present
give lots of hugs
say "thank-you" to the the people around me
apologize for my wrong doings
make that meal
etc.
I would do things that really count. Things that will last forever..not for me, but for the people around me.
So, for now on, I am going to try to live like I only have one year left,  I want to make every word my last, I want to quit pushing everything off until tomorrow, I want to know Jesus more closely, and claim His promises. So this is my challenge.....join me?

In Christ Alone

p.s there is a huge giveaway going on over here and here and here and here and here
