roasted asparagus (with bacon) | a recipe

i just felt like i needed to include that (with bacon) up there, because duh. it's bacon.

asparagus has never really been my favorite food. i can tolerate it, but only to an extent. this recipe changed that up a bit, i mean who can resist cheese + bacon on anything??
and the best part, it literally takes minutes to prepare.

ROASTED ASPARAGUS
1 bunch asparagus
2 garlic cloves, sliced thinly
a few slices of bacon, cut into smaller strips (you can also use turkey bacon, like i did)
a drizzle of olive oil
shredded mozzarella or parmesan cheese (i used a bit of each)
salt + pepper

directions:
spread your asparagus stalks out on a baking tray. grab a few stalks and wrap that bacon around 'em. (i didn't nearly wrap everyone because that was way to much effort, but i tried to make sure i had some bacon somewhere in there every few stalks, just to make sure the flavor spread.)
throw on your garlic and drizzle a little olive oil over it.
shake on some parmesan and pop it in the oven at *475 for 8-10 minutes.

(i added a little more mozzarella and then popped it back in the oven until it melted.)

eat. (yes, that's a command.)

xx. marcia.

thank you so much for taking the time to comment! each comment means the world to me. you are cooler than Teddy Roosevelt riding a moose, well almost. But you're pretty rad just the same.
